BOOKING FAQ

Q: Where do I find my login information to book?

A: New members have been sent login information via email when they join. Check your junk if you did not receive an email. Returning members can use the same username and password to login as last year. Please use the "forgot password" section on the website if you forgot your password.

Q: Do I need to reserve a court to play?

A: No. In the past, we used the booking system for COVID-19 contact tracing. This is no longer required. Those who wish to book a court to guarantee playing time can still do so. Members can drop in anytime during club hours and those with the court booked will have priority. You can book a court 2 days in advance and up to 4 hours before the court time. The booking system will show which member has booked the court (this is so the executive can monitor the bookings). Courts shows with a grey dash have not been booked and are available for any members to drop in.

Q: What times can I book?

A: Members can reserve any courts that show as available on the booking system with one exception. New Family members can book on courts 4 and 5 at these times: Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 8pm, Monday evenings from 6 pm to 10 pm. New Family Members must upgrade their membership to a full family membership for full booking privileges. Full members should not book Courts 4 and 5 during the New Family times listed above. The executive will be monitoring the bookings.

Q: Why are certain times blocked off from booking?

A: The club has many events and activities throughout the summer where courts will be blocked from booking. You can find a list of events here and our brochure here. Wednesday and Thursday evenings are blocked for STF and Toronto Men's League play. These leagues are very high level and members are welcome to come watch and cheer on our teams!

Q: Why does the email that is sent to me when I book sometimes contain other people's names?

A: This was a glitch in the system but has been fixed now.

NEW BOOKING RULES

The most popular time to play is in the evening between 6.00 and 9.00 pm.  Consequently we need to restrict the booking to one hour of play during that time to give more players a chance to get onto a court.  As of now please book for only one hour during that time frame. We shall be monitoring the bookings from now on to ensure the new rules are followed.  Please be a good and fair member and abide by this rule to ensure that all your fellow members (as well as yourself) get a chance to play.

In addition to the one hour booking limit during the evening hours, we have also shortened the advance booking period for all bookings to three days in advance. We hope that this will reduce no-shows, i.e. where the courts display as being booked on the booking website but players do not show up for their game. Needless to say, this is annoying for those members who would have liked to play but could not book a court because it showed as being booked. The booking system has been adjusted accordingly.
